This is your weekly personality show where we are up close and personal with the body of PENSA-KNUST. Today, we meet an elegant lady from the Prayer Committee, relax, read and enjoy what she has to share with us.

Who is behind Miss Victoria?

I am Victoria Afua Nunu. I’m 24 years of age. 1st April, 1994 is my date of birth. I hail from Salt Pond and live at Pokuase. I am the last of seven children, six ladies and one guy. I’m a fourth year Geography and Rural Development student. I’m presently at Ford Hostel, room 29. I was a Spartan (An alumna of Indece Hall). I am sociable and ready to accept anybody that comes into contact with me. I’m always ready to learn. I am currently the Ladies Wing Prayer and Counseling Coordinator.

Share with us your experience in the second cycle institution.

I went to Odorgonno Senior High where I spent four years reading General Arts. I completed in 2013. I was a leader throughout my stay in Odorgonno SHS. I really enjoyed my stay because my house was a bit close to the school, even though I never went home without an exeat.

What was your reason for choosing KNUST?

After SHS I visited my brother on campus and the serenity of the environment caught me. Aside that I liked to explore, I had stayed in Accra all my life so I decided to come to KNUST.

Miss Victoria, kindly tell us about your programme of study.

When I bought forms for KNUST for the first time, I wasn’t granted admission. But by the grace of God, I bought forms again for the next year and was offered Geography and Economics as my minor. Geography is about the study of the earth with respect to time. It’s a very theoretical program and the practical aspect is not really felt. It’s a nice programme to offer though.

How has life been on campus being in your final year?

Life hasn’t been easy though, sleepless nights, early lectures and final year projects. But I thank God for seeing me through my four year stay on campus.

What do you have to say about PENSA-KNUST?

PENSA KNUST has groomed me in my Christian growth thus I’m more matured in the things of God. In relation to personal development it has groomed my leadership skills.

What can you say about the structure of PENSA-KNUST?

Due to the large number of the church, the structure of PENSA KNUST, gives the executives a chance to have personal relationships with the members and shepherd them also.

Amongst all the committees, why Prayer Committee?

I joined prayer committee because I like to intercede especially for the church.

What is your take on this year’s theme and focus?

I personally give credit to the executives on bringing up this year’s theme and focus.

Abounding in Good works: Our lifestyle should reflect Christ. People should see us and praise him.

Walking in the will of God: We should be ready to yearn to know him more for his direction in his will for our lives, so that we will be able to face the challenges of this world.

Which part of the Bible really speaks to you?

Proverbs 3:5-6…Trust in the Lord with all your heart and dwell not in your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.

Who is your favourite Bible character?

Ruth…She was a woman who was persistent in what she wanted. She was very humble and obedient.

Which sporting activity do you enjoy? And any additional hobbies?

I don’t really enjoy sports. I enjoy reading English literature especially those by Myles Munroe. I enjoy watching movies too.

What is your vision and mission in life?

My Vision is to impart others by my virtue of being a leader

My Mission is to know God well through His word so as to impart the lives of others.

How did you become born again?

I became born again in SHS after I was touched by a message being preached.

What should we expect from you in the next 5 years?

To remain in Christ as a gallant soldier, get myself a lucrative job and be married with two kids.

Are you in a relationship?

What makes him attractive to you?

He fears God, understands and respects my views. He’s very humble and has a singing ministry as well.

What’s your motivation in life?

The word says God resists the proud but raises the humble this drives me to  always live a humble life .

Please do you have any testimony to share with us?

My coming to KNUST alone is a testimony. In the year 2013 when I completed SHS I wasn’t admitted. In the year 2014, by God’s grace I finally got admission to read a program of my choice. When you trust in God he never fails.

Any advice for the youth?

I beseech them that they yearn to know God more.

What improvement do you want to see in PENSA- KNUST?

I want the church to be more concerned about the welfare of the members.

Thank you very much for your time. God bless you.
