[spacer height=”30px”]

You are once again Welcome to the personality show where we bring your way great people of God, this week we bring to you a wonderful gentleman from the Music and Drama Committee. Please relax, read and enjoy what he has to share with us.

Please can you tell us who you are?

I’m Richmond Titus Tei Djaba. I hail from Somanya in the Eastern Region. The first of three children. Currently 21 years. I am a humble young gentleman. I was born on 29th of August, 1996.  I schooled at many places before St Paul’s Methodist Preparatory and JHS where I made very fond memories. I had my secondary education at St Peters Senior High School. Currently, I’m a student of KNUST offering BSc. Environmental Science, second year.

How did SHS life treat you?

SHS life was full of mixed feelings. as a first year student, I was at the dispense of my senior mates, which cost me a lot of studying hours. God being so good, I became a treasurer of Christian Union. It helped me abide by the rules and regulations of the school.

How did you end up in KNUST?

I completed SHS in 2014 and waited a year. I applied for teaching while I was at home.I applied in 2015 and I gained admission to read Computer Science as a parallel. By Grace, I then reapplied to read BSc. Environmental Science which I am enjoying presently. I always wished I could read MediLab though…hehe

What can you say about your programme of study?

It’s a very good course overall with lots of opportunities for work and entrepreneurship. It involves a lot of reading. Environmental science seeks to identify problems and systematically find possible solutions. Since the environment is all that surrounds us, you can imagine it is a wide field of study.

How do you see campus life?

I see campus life as the “out-world”, what the Bible describes as the generation that we’re living in. Campus is a free living environment so it’s the morals that you’ve already learnt and your faith that leads you. A wonderful place to connect with people from various backgrounds for either good or bad intents. Most youth of today like to explore all ends to satisfy mere senses, but since we have our identity as Christians in mind we try to distinguish ourselves from the generation on campus, helping them accept what’s right.

How would you describe PENSA-KNUST?

I personally will describe PENSA-KNUST as my university. A wonderful family to belong to and behold. PENSA-KNUST entreats us to fellowship and not to compromise on our Christian faith. PENSA-KNUST builds us with the word, worship, prayers and it is the true definition of excitement in the presence of God.

What can you say about the structure of PENSA-KNUST?

In contrast to some local assemblies, PENSA-KNUST has a very flexible structure upholding the precepts of God and not condoning sin which I know God is using to get to the present younger generation and the ones yet to come.

Which committee do you belong to?

Music and Drama committee

What is your take on this year’s theme and focus?

Personally, I see the theme and focus being in line, Ok as 2 sides of a coin… Coincidently they move together or fall into each other…As Christians, it is our divine mandate to always do good even as CHRIST did on earth and as a result we walk in His will. I look forward to gaining more insight from them.

What is your favourite Bible verse?

Titus 2:11-12

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.

Who is your favourite Bible character?

My vision is to grow into a mature Christian whose responsibility will be to help find solutions to the issues of people and my family. My mission is to win souls for Christ through My ministry of drama and dance.

Have you grabbed, are you grabbed or you’re grabbing?

I haven’t grabbed yet, I am happily single but I see myself grabbing soon.

Any advice for the youth?

I see the youth of today to find more fulfillment in the flesh, but I’ll advice every youth to identify themselves with their maker and what their maker desires of them. After that they’ll find true satisfaction and fulfillment.

What change do you want to see in PENSA- KNUST?

We should find a more strategic and appealing ways to welcome first years both on and off campus. The committees should be introduced from time to time to encourage the committee-less to join.

Your last words and any requests from the church.

My last words will be from Proverbs 3:5.-6.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

I request a spiritual and academic certificate from PENSA.

God bless you all and your families.

Thank you very much
