Today’s sermon was very short but powerful. We were blessed by the ministration of Elder Apau, an officer of The Church of Pentecost. He began by reminding us of the power of the Lord through a song of the Church, ‘The power of the Lord is here’. Our main text was from Philippians 4:13-19.
Ephesians 3:20 speaks of the ability of God that is beyond human imagination and understanding of what God can do, and this He does according to the spirit that works in us- the fullness of God. Ezekiel 37:1-4. Whoever heard of dry bones resurrecting and gaining flesh? Our God is indeed able. 1 Corinthians 12:1-10 talks about spiritual gifts and these are the practical demonstration of the power of God. One of such gifts is faith, the supernatural ability to believe God beyond all human reasoning and thinking.
The power of God comes when the Holy Spirit dwells in you, Acts1:8. The spiritual gifts God bestows on you, He expects that you use it judiciously in His house.
The second part of the service was a time with the spirit. Whiles some received spiritual gifts others received personal prophesies and the Lord moved greatly in our midst. Remember, the power of God brings liberation and revival. God bless you.
Indeed our God is able!
