October 1st marked the PENSA Ghana Day and PENSA KNUST was not exempted from celebrating this great day. Taking reference from Psalm 45: 4-7, a former PENSA president of Pentecost University College, Elder Stephen Kwabena Enebeli Annan delivered a sermon on the topic “Tell Of The Goodness Of The Lord To Many Generations”.
According to our Elder, the goodness of God is one of the attributes of God. It is in His virtue to be good. The Lord’s goodness is made visible and realistic through His protection, favour, guidance and many other ways each and every day. The Lord is good and His love endures forever.
The speaker then gave a first-hand experience of the goodness of God in his life. He talked about how he took an exams for a professional course and failed the first time but passed with sterling colours the second time round. He made mention of how his colleagues discouraged him and asked if his God has failed him when he failed the exams but low and behold he passed the second time to the glory of God. God never fails us. God never abandons his chosen ones. There might be setbacks but He always sees us through.
It’s because of the Lord’s goodness that Christ died for us and gave us the gift of salvation and the Holy Spirit . This spirit of God has been given as a deposit of the promise of tomorrow( the second coming of God). When the spirit is rekindled in you, success begins to follow you. The Holy Spirit has the power to teach you, not of just spiritual things but of the physical too. The anointing ye have received of God teaches you all things. (1 John 2:20 and 21). You are carrying a spirit of divine acceleration. The grace of God bestowed on you is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:10).He added
He gave another testimony of how six people in his class gave their life to Christ when he was a student. He had an A in a paper he had had failed twice in. When his lecturer gave him the chance to tell the class how he did it, he gave all credit to God. Six people ended up giving their life to God after that. He entreated the church to proclaim the goodness of God to generations.
“There is a mighty hand somewhere, working for your goodness. Put your trust in the Lord. Let your standard be on Christ and He shall work things out” he said in his closing remarks.
God bless His word.
