Charles Kuedukey

This is your weekly personality drive where we are up close and personal with the body of PENSA-KNUST. Today we meet a handsome gentleman from the Music and Drama Committee. Relax, read and enjoy what he has to share with us.

Who is behind Charles?

I’m Charles Nelson Kuedukey. Most of my friends call me Aroma, and it’s all for the sake of the ministry. I’m the 3rd out of 5 children. I lost my dad when I was in second year. I’m a final year Chemistry student.  I am a strong Katangee. Presently I’m at Sussex Court. I am from Whuti in the Volta Region. I was born on 27th May 1995. I live at Amanfrom Toptown in Kasoa.

Share with us your experience in the second cycle institution?

I schooled at New Page International School from nursery to JHS 1. I then started JHS 1 again at First Signal Regimental School, Burma Camp. I attended Accra Academy SHS, where I read Science.

Charles, kindly tell us about your programme of study?

Chemistry has been tough but it’d be easy if you’re very determined to sit and study.

Why KNUST?

I realized I had been in Accra all my life so I wanted to travel outside Accra. I then decided to choose KNUST.

How has life been on campus being in your final year?

Campus has been fun. I didn’t really have any expectation concerning KNUST campus life.

What do you have to say about PENSA-KNUST?

PENSA has made me very disciplined. Waking up early on Sundays and going for dawn meetings, these I believe have made me very organized and disciplined. I have also been built spiritually because of PENSA’s spirit filled programs.

What can you say about the structure of PENSA-KNUST?

I think the committee systems should be financially supported.

Which committee do you belong to?

Music and Drama

Amongst all the committees, why Music and Drama Committee?

Because it was my passion to dance, act and do spoken word.

What is your take on this year’s theme and focus?

Abounding in Good works : It should be a lifestyle and it shouldn’t be done with the intention of getting something in return.

Walking in the will of God : As Christians and as humans, people will always criticize what you do. So if you’re in God’s will and God’s plan, you don’t tend to care much about what people say.

What is your favourite Bible verse?

Proverbs 21:31. The horse is made ready for the day of battle but victory rests with the Lord.

Who is your favourite Bible character?

Elijah. I desire more of his anointing to be able to function well in my ministry

Which sporting activity do you enjoy? And any additional hobbies?

I love football, volleyball and table tennis. I do enjoy watching movies

What is your vision and mission in life?

Vision : I want to see myself ministering for people to get touched and webbed in the saving knowledge of Christ

Mission : My mission is to pray hard, learn hard, worship more and worry less.

How did you become born again?

Through a message I heard which really soared deep within me.

Where do you want to see yourself in the next five years?

I want to see myself married with two children. Still in ministry, find myself a very good job as an International Chemist.

Are you in a relationship?

No please

What’s your motivation in life?

The fact that I always want to be creative, I always want to watch what people have done and try to do more, because of that I don’t underrate anyone.

Please do you have any testimony to share with us?

I had a midsem and the paper was starting at 12 but I thought it was scheduled to start at 4pm. So I decided to wake up at 4 am, study for a while and rest at 10am and wake at 2pm and prepare for the paper. I woke up at 11:50am and I was still studying, I decided to check my texts and my gallery on my phone. I finally got to the point where my midsem timetable came up. I shouted in shock. I decided to go through my slides for the last time. I quickly rushed to the exam hall, being 30mins late. I finished the paper in no time, because all that I’ve studied reflected in the exam. This is the doing of the Lord

What has been the most memorable day in life?

When I was robbed in 3rd year on KNUST Campus. My phone and my laptop were at the same place but my phone was taken. My roommate’s laptop which was hidden in a bag under his bed was also taken. But my laptop wasn’t stolen.

Any advice for the youth?

The youth should take the work of God personal, and do it diligently with all their heart.  The youth should also have priorities.

What change do you want to see in PENSA- KNUST?

There should be no ‘committeeless’ committees. The church shouldn’t conclude on human appearance. The item should be changed…the sobolo.

Your last words and any requests to the church.

I want to congratulate the church for the help rendered for the members

Thank you very much for your time. God bless you.
